OUR SERVICES

Play Therapy

Play therapy is a form of therapy that requires the therapist to come to the child’s level and speak their language through play. Toys and play represent the child’s words, through which the child is encouraged to explore his feelings, understand and accept them, and process them as needed. Play therapy seeks to balance symbolic play with linguistic expression, in a way that's most appropriate for their age. Play therapy is used is as a vehicle for child-therapist communication, allowing the child to use toys, art, and other activities to express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Play therapy is used to address many childhood emotional and behavioral challenges, in addition to trauma, separation/divorce, grief, anxiety, etc.

Eclectic Therapy

Eclectic therapy is a form of psychotherapy that adapts to the unique needs of each client, depending on the presenting concern, the treatment goals, and the child and family's expectations and motivation. The therapist customizes the therapeutic process for each individual by using whatever form of treatment, or combination of treatments, has been shown to be most effective for a particular problem. This may include coping skills development, psychoeducation on triggers and mental health, emotional regulation techniques, developing an emotional vocabulary, creating behavior charts, and helping parents implement positive reinforcement and effective consequence systems to use at home.

Child-Centered Play Therapy

Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) is a therapeutic approach that uses play as a medium to help children express their feelings, work through emotional issues, and develop coping skills. Rooted in the principles of Carl Rogers's person-centered therapy, CCPT allows children to lead the therapeutic process through self-directed play in a safe and supportive environment. The therapist provides a range of play materials and uses reflective listening and empathy to support the child's exploration and expression. The goal of CCPT is to foster emotional healing, enhance self-esteem, and strengthen the child’s ability to handle challenges, all while respecting their natural way ofcommunicating through play.
